Friday, March 6th--9:10 pm

Greetings:

As you know, you will be taking your 3rd Rules of Thumb quiz, worth 100 points, on Monday.
The pages in your text focus on MLA documentation for recording your sources on the Works Cited page. As always, it will be an open book quiz.

The quiz will consist of 10 items, worth 10 points each. If you have just one error in the citation, the full 10 points will be deducted. In other words, if you place a comma where one is not required, the entire citation is incorrect.

I will give you all the information for a citation, and you will have to record it in MLA documentation.

For example:

A book by a Doris Lang titled Birds of the Amazon. It was published by Scorpio Books in Boston in 1962.

Your answer would look like this:

Lang, Doris. Birds of America. Boston: Scorpio Books, 1962. Print.

(Since you will be handwriting the quiz, when an item is to be recorded in italics, you will instead, underline it.)
